Catalytic Converters are used in automobile as an emission control component. Catalytic converters contain precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium. These metals act as catalyst to convert harmless carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide to less harmful carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen. By recycling the catalytic converters we can keep a steady supply of precious metals to be use on new vehicle productions as well as keep emission low.
